A baby naming or adoption ceremony is a great way to welcome children into your family in a personal and memorable way.
A lot of people are choosing not to have their children christened nowadays but would like to mark the occasion of naming their baby with a ceremony and introduce their child to their family and friends in a loving and welcoming way.
Music, poems and readings may all be used if desired to express the love and wishes you have for your child’s future. There are wonderful ceremonial enhancements that can be drawn upon like a sand ceremony, ribbon ceremony or a together tree. Other children in the family can be included to show the strength and unity of your bond together.
Instead of godparents…guardians or guide parents will take the time honoured position of promising to support and guide your child to adulthood.
HOW IT WORKS?
After your initial contact with me, I will either call or email you, whichever you request, to have an informal chat. I will check when and where you would like to have the ceremony (it could be anywhere from your house to a hotel or your favourite restaurant) and I will answer any questions you may have. From here if you feel happy to move forward we will arrange a meeting where we can go into more detail and I will be clear that I know exactly what you want. Then I will build your ceremony before you get to make your edits.
When the big day arrives, I will be there at least an hour before the ceremony to make sure everything is running smoothly and I will deliver a fun filled ceremony and leave you with a keepsake copy of your script.
