Vow renewals are a way of celebrating the love you have shared for the years you have been married. Life is like a rollercoaster….we all have times of difficulty and times of pure joy. Renewing your marriage vows is a way of saying “we’re here together, stronger than ever”.
It’s a special moment to share with your family or perhaps to celebrate, just the two of you, in your favourite romantic setting. Often a partner will surprise their spouse, planned carefully in secret with the celebrant.
HOW IT WORKS?
After your initial contact with me, I will either call or email you, whichever you request. I will ask you questions about your plans, i.e. venue, date, etc. and I will answer any questions you may have. From here if you feel happy to move forward we will arrange a meeting where we can go into more detail. I will walk you through a fun and meaningful process of story gathering that makes sure your ceremony reflects you as a couple, your unique history, your values and aspirations.
Then I will go away and craft your ceremony until you’re completely happy with it. I will include any ceremonial enhancements that you have chosen (I have lots of ideas). I will include any music/readings/poems that you may have liked and of course the vows (whether you like to write them yourselves or would like me to choose some for you). You will have the final say in everything, after all, it is your day!
When the big day arrives, I will be there at least an hour before the ceremony to make sure everything is running smoothly and everyone is doing what they should be doing. I will welcome guests (if you have decided to have any) and make sure they are all relaxed and are enjoying themselves and then make sure that the ceremony runs calmly and happily throughout.
